Tri-County Literacy Volunteer Job Description

Title:

Volunteer Administrator

Responsibilities:

     Manage volunteer applications.

     Perform background checks on candidates.

     Enter volunteers hours in a database. Follow up with volunteers to ensure hours are reported and accurate.

Impact:

     Help Tri-County Literacy qualify for grants and other funds.

     Free staff to perform other duties.

Long Term Outcome:

     Improve reporting of tutor and non-tutor volunteer hours.

     Create a more accurate database.

     Keep Tri-County Literacy safe and compliant.

Training and Support:

Training and orientation provided by staff.

Qualifications:

     Basic computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Access or other database program a plus.

     Discretion to work with confidential records.

     Detail oriented

     Good people skills.

Time Commitment:

Estimated 8-10 hours per month.
