Tri-County Literacy Volunteer Job Description

Title:

Refreshment Planner

Responsibilities:

●     Recruit and schedule refreshment donations for Tri-County Literacy events such as, tutor trainings, support meetings, and annual meetings.

●     Help organize cocoa and cookie donations for the Candy Cane Train fundraiser in December.

Impact:

Support literacy volunteers at various events.

Long Term Outcome:

●     Happy volunteers who love coming to meetings.

Training and Support:

Some training provided for Candy Cane Train refreshment planning. No other training required.

Qualifications:

●     A love of good food.

●     Good organizational skills.

●     Basic emailing skills helpful.

Time Commitment:

Caterer is responsible for providing refreshments for 8 events throughout the year which will require approximately 3 hours each (24 hours). Candy Cane Train planning requires approximately 10 hours at the beginning of December. Total time estimate: 34 hours per year.
